The Waterhen Bloa is one of the most recognisable of all the North Country flies. It is a simple but effective imitation of the early season Large Dark Olive. Although, when dressed in smaller sizes it covers a host of other olive species found on the river throughout the season.
I'm not sure where I came across this pattern but I believe it originated from the Czech Republic. It might look very simple but it works well. I use this as a general searching pattern, terrestrial or small sedge. The fly is very buoyant and so can support a lightly weighted nymph Available in sizes 12,14,16,18
Barbless jig Hook Tungsten Bead This nymph worked very well last season for trout and grayling. It's not very often nymphs are tied with this colour tag but you can fish this with confidence, its a proven fish taker!
