The pheasant tail nymph is one of the most recognisable river flies and accounts for a large number of my fish year round. I prefer to add a small hotspot at the thorax. As standard, I don’t varnish the hotspot to retain the brightness of the thread/floss. Varnishing can increase the durability of the fly and if you’d like this done please contact us after placing an order.
